Museu Nacional des Coches (Praça Afonso de Albuquerque, Lisbon) – located within the old Horse Riding Arena of the Belém Palace in Lisbon, this museum houses one of the most extensive collections of horse-drawn coaches in the world. Visitors get to see the evolution of such coaches from the late 16th century, until the late 19th century (made in various European countries).

Admission: Adult (€5), Seniors (€2.50), children (under 15) – free. Free admission for all on Sundays & holidays (until 2 pm). Hours: open daily (closed on Mondays) from 10 am to 6 pm. See museum’s website for more details: www.museudoscoches.pt
